description PURPOSE: Provided is a collector for eggs of moth, which separates eggs of moth from moth imago breeding containers using phototaxis of moth. This collecting method enhances the efficiency of collecting eggs of moth and exterminates harmful insects by feeding the mass-collected eggs of moth to a predator. CONSTITUTION: The collector for eggs of moth comprises: i) a wiremesh rack(112) on which plural moth imago breeding containers are laid; ii) an imago pasturing room(110) that has a base plane being the rack, a transparent top plane(114) including a door(116) through which the moth imago breeding containers are injected or removed, and opaque walls(118); iii) an opaque cover(120) covering the top planes of the moth imago breeding containers; iv) an imago luring pipe(130) in the shape of an inverted pyramid, which is formed in the lower part of the imago pasturing room(110); v) a transparent connection device(140) in the shape of a funnel, which is formed in the lower part of the imago luring pipe(130) and is connected to the inner space of the imago luring pipe(130); vi) a transparent egg collecting container(150) which can be coupled to the bottom of the connection device(140) and is connected to the inner space of the imago luring pipe(130), and through which moth imagoes can entrance and exit; vii) an opaque collector body(160) being formed in the lower part of the imago pasturing room(110); and viii) a lighting device(170) that is formed inside the collector body(160) and radiates light for a given time. In this collector, the imagoes are lured from the moth imago breeding containers to the egg collecting container(150) using the lighting device(170), thereby collecting the eggs of moth.
