CONSTITUTION: A host processor(16) is operated by an instruction of a driver(12) and writes a data unit separated by a gap to a disk(10) using a read/write DVD drive(22) in a first operation mode. The processor(16) makes the drive(22) read the data unit separated by the gap in a second operation mode. The processor(16) makes the gap write the data unit to a computer(14) in short seek of the data unit read by the drive(22) in the second operation mode.
