AUTOMATIC WATERGATE

PURPOSE: An automatic watergate is provided to automatically open and close a watergate(60) of a dam(50), as sensing the reservoir water by a sensor. CONSTITUTION: An automatic watergate comprises: a watergate(60) which inclines toward an opening(51) of a dam(50); a vertical guide(70) which is vertically installed at both ends of a watergate and helps the lower of a dam(50) to be vertically moved to open a watergate(60); a horizontal guide(75) which is installed at both real ends of a dam(50), supports the upper part of a watergate(60) and helps a watergate to be moved back and forth; a driving unit(80) which is connected to the lower part of a watergate(60) with connecting materials and offer power to move a watergate(60) up and down; a sensor for water level(90) which senses reservoir water; a control unit which controls a driving unit(80) by receiving the signal output from a sensor to regulate the height of a watergate(60). Thereby, when water overflows, a watergate(60) of a dam(50) stays parallel with the direction of waterflow and water passes through the upper and lower part of a watergate(60), so that the resistance of water toward a watergate(60) is minimized.
