DIVERSITY RECEIVER FOR CDMA SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A diversity receiver for a code division multiple access system. is provided to control a connection relation between data receiving function and a diversity combining function, according to a requested call quality, a multi-route communication channel, and code channels, in which varies every communication access and one data receiving function is not subjected to a specific diversity combining function. CONSTITUTION: A diversity receiver for a code division multiple access system, comprises a search receiver(210), data receivers(221-226), diversity combiners and decoders(231-233), and processor(240). The search receiver(210) searches a received pilot signal, to deliver information to multi-route communication channel and on information on a pilot signal of neighboring transmit terminal, to the processor(240). The data receivers(221-226) reversely diffuse and demodulate a received signal corresponded to reverse diffused code information delivered from the processor(240). The diversity combiners and decoders(231-233) multiply a specific number in appropriation to a corresponded symbols and signal energy, combine with diversities, and decodes the combined signal, to output the decoded information. The processor(240) controls mutual access of the decoder and combination between the data receivers and the diversities.
