In addition, the catalyst for decomposing carbon dioxide can be obtained with no chemical binding process, such as heat treatment, through an impregnation process by adding rhodium, and the low-temperature activity of the metal oxide catalyst is increased due to a hydrogen (H_2) spillover phenomenon, thereby providing a catalyst for decomposing carbon dioxide, including an improved activated metal oxide for decomposing carbon dioxide efficiently at low temperature. 본 발명은 이산화탄소 분해용 촉매의 제조방법, 이에 따라 제조된 이산화탄소 분해용 촉매 및 이를 활용한 이산화탄소의 분해 방법과 분해 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 상기 이산화탄소 분해용 촉매는 금속산화물의 환원과정을 통해 산소 원자의 결손을 가지게 되므로, 효율적으로 이산화탄소를 분해할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 이산화탄소 분해용 촉매는 로듐을 첨가하여 함침법(impregnation)을 통해 열처리와 같은 화학적 결합과정 없이 얻을 수 있고, 수소 유출(H2 spillover) 현상으로 인해 금속산화물 촉매의 저온 활성도가 높아지고, 이를 통해 낮은 온도에서 효율적인 이산화탄소 분해를 위한 개선된 활성화 금속산화물을 포함하는 이산화탄소 분해용 촉매를 제공할 수 있다.
