본 발명은 고비중 미세슬러리용 원심펌프에 적용하는 메커니컬씰에 관한 것이다. 더욱 상세하게는 철강공장 등의 가동 중에 발생하는 철가루 등과 같이 비중이 높은 고체 혼합물을 이송하는 슬러리전용 원심펌프에 있어서, 유로막힘 예방, 효율증진 및 재제조 용의성 제고 등을 위해 오픈형 임펠러를 채용하고 케이싱을 단일케이싱으로 제조하여야 하는 경우, 메커니컬씰의 케이스를 소형화하여 별도의 메커니컬씰용 하우징 없이도 스터핑박스 내에 수납할 수 있도록 함과 더불어 실페이스와 시이트간을 효율적으로 밀봉하여 슬러리의 누설을 예방하고 냉각효과를 증진시킬 수 있는 메커니컬씰에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 고비중 미세슬러리용 원심펌프에서, 임펠러의 회전축이 구동수단쪽으로 통과하는 케이싱 주변에 장착되어 상기 케이싱과 상기 회전축 사이를 밀봉하는 메커니컬씰로서, 상기 회전축에 고정되어 상기 회전축과 같이 회전하는 회전씰장치 및 상기 케이싱에 고정되는 고정씰장치를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. |
