The cosmetic composition for prevention effect of skin damage by air pollutants

The present invention relates to a fermented sorghum having a prevention effect on skin damage by air pollutants, and a cosmetic composition comprising the same. The fermented sorghum is obtained by extracting sorghum, saccharifying the same with glycolytic enzymes and fermenting the same with fermentation microorganisms. According to the present invention, the fermented sorghum and the cosmetic composition comprising the same remove harmful oxygen (superoxide radical and hydroxy radical), inhibit cell damage by ozone and nitrogen dioxide, promote synthesis of collagen by inhibiting expression of MMP-1 which is a collagenase and promoting expression of TIMP-1 which is a collagen synthetase, have no cytotoxicity and prevent skin damage by air pollutants. 본 발명은 대기오염물질에 의한 피부손상의 예방효과가 있는 수수발효물 및 이를 함유하는 화장료 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 수수를 추출한 후 당분해효소로 당화처리한 다음, 발효미생물로 발효시켜 수수발효물을 수득함으로써, 본 발명에 따른 수수발효물과 이를 함유하는 화장료 조성물이 유해산소(수퍼옥사이드 라디칼 및 하이드록시 라디칼)를 제거하고, 오존과 이산화질소에 의한 세포손상을 억제하며, 콜라겐분해효소인 MMP-1의 발현을 억제하고 콜라겐생성효소인 TIMP-1의 발현을 촉진하여 콜라겐의 합성을 촉진하고, 세포독성이 없으며, 대기오염물질에 의한 피부손상을 방지하는 효과가 있다.
