COAL GASIFICATION APPARATUS AND COOLING CHAMBER THEREOF

The present invention relates to a coal gasification apparatus and a cooling chamber of the same. More specifically, the coal gasification apparatus can: prevent damage to a flow volume adjusting valve, installed on a rear side, by discharging only liquid waste water except slag, which is a solid material, after separating the liquid waste water from a mixture of slag and waste water or the like which are generated during a coal gasification process performed at high pressure and at high temperatures; minimizes change in pressure of the whole system by maintaining a water level in the cooling chamber to be constant; and makes continuous operation possible because the equipment can be stably operated as an additional machine is not needed by using high pressure water used in processes. The coal gasification apparatus according to the present invention generates synthetic gas by performing gasification reaction in a gasification apparatus and includes: the cooling chamber for cooling the synthetic gas and slag, generated when the synthetic gas is generated; a waste water discharging pipe connected to the cooling chamber to discharge waste water, generated when the synthetic gas and the slag are cooled, from the cooling chamber; and a mixing prevention means which is installed on a waste water inlet of the waste water discharging pipe and prevents the slag, mixed in the waste water, from entering the waste water inlet.
