Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: A vibration attenuating steering system for a vehicle is provided to prevent vibration and shock from transmitting to a steering wheel from the ground by connecting a steering shaft and an operating gear shaft in freely displaceable structure. CONSTITUTION: A steering shaft(20) and a worm gear shaft(41) are combined to each other by a shaft joint(100) in freely displaceable structure. Herein, the lower end of the steering shaft is combined with the upper end of a central column(110) with a joint unit(23) and the lower end of the center column is combined with the upper end of the work gear shaft with a joint unit(115). The joint unit(23) consists of a round head(21) in the lower end of the steering shaft; a protrusion(22) protruded from the round head; a round groove(111) holding the round head, in the upper end of the center column; and a connecting groove(113) holding the protrusion. The joint unit(115) contains a round head(42), a protrusion(114), a round groove(43) and a connecting groove(45). When vibration and shock are transmitted to the worm gear shaft, joint units absorb vibration and shock to protect the steering shaft. However, steering force is transmitted to a steering gear through the worm gear shaft with the free displacement of the steering shaft and the worm gear shaft. |
