description PURPOSE:To measure the performance by only an object of a program to be measured, by bringing an object program itself to a code conversion and embedding an interrupting instruction of a monitor call, and executing a program trace, when an interruption is generated. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, an object program to be measured 1, a reverse assemble program 2, a code conversion program 3 and a code conversion object 4 are shown. When the quality of an object program of a microcomputer is taken notice of, a trap generating instruction can be replaced with a specific instruction code since the instruction length is short. The object to be measured 1 for which it is desired to measure the performance is analyzed by the reverse assemble program 2, and a position of an instruction code which becomes an object of a code conversion is checked. By transmitting its result to the code conversion program 3, an object which replaces an instruction code part which becomes an object of a code conversion, with a code of a trap generating instruction becomes a code conversion object.
