description PURPOSE:To make a motor thin-shaped, by providing a projecting section at a part of a lower stator projecting from the outside circumference of an upper stator, and by attaching wire holding members such as an external lead wire to it. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 1 of a two-phase step motor is composed of a permanent magnet disk 2 and a rotor shaft 3. This disk 2 is magnetized heteropolarly in the circumferential direction at equal intervals and attached to the rotor shaft 3 through a bush 4. An upper stator 5 made of a magnetic material has a bottom section 5a, athrough hole 5b of the rotor shaft 3 and four pole teeth group formation sections 5c-5d, and numerous pole teeth 5e are formed. A lower stator 6 is formed likewise, around which coils 9-10 of each phase are wound. On this occasion, a wire holding member 12 is used, of which a fitting section 12a is fitted into a projecting section 6j of the lower stator 6, to which a recessed section 12d to connect external lead wires 13 with terminal lines of coils 9-10 and holding slits 12b-12c are provided. The space of coils 9-10 can thereby be increased.
