description PURPOSE:To dry a fresh aggregate and a regerated aggregate under the proper conditions by controlling the amount of heat of heating gas which is passed through the gap between an outer drum and an inner drum. CONSTITUTION:The slanted outer drum 1 and inner drum 10 are rotated and an exhaust fan 24 is actuated and heating gas is sent into the outer drum 1 from a burner 9 and also a fresh aggregate is charged into the outer drum 1 from an charging means 16 and a regenerated aggregate is charged into the inner drum 10 from an charging means 17. The fresh aggregate is transferred to the lower end part through the gap 11 between the outer drum 1 and the inner drum 10, heated and dried counter-currently by heating gas and thereafter discharged through a lower discharge manifold 4. On the other hand, the regenerated aggregate in the inner drum 10 is dried with the heating gas introduced into the inner drum 10 via an intake port 13 and thereafter discharged to an upper discharge manifold 5 through a discharge chute 12. The heating gasses reached to the exhaust manifolds 6, 14 of the outer drum and the inner drum are introduced into ducts 22, 23 and a dust collector 26 and also the heating gas leaked to the discharge manifold 5 through the chute 12 is introduced into the dust collector 26 via a damper 18 for controlling the divergence of a duct 19 and the manifold 6 and these heating gasses are exhausted from a stack 35.
