WINDING METHOD OF METALLIC WIRE

PURPOSE:To obtain continuous and spaceless winding state, by winding a metallic wire while serpenting one after another from an end part of a cylinder drum of a dressing machine keeping ridge number in a circumferential direction of the cylinder and width in an axial direction of the cylinder each in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:L wire 2 having contact surface with metallic wire 3 formed into a required wave shape in a circumferential direction of a cylinder is driven into both ends of circumferential surface of a cylinder drum 1. In the wave shape of the L wire 2, ridge numbers in a circumferential direction of the cylinder are 4-32 and wave width in the axial direction of the cylinder is 1-10mm. A notch is provided in part of the L wire 2 to fasten one end of the wire 3 and the drum 1 is rotated and the wire 3 is wound along the L wire 2. Serpentine winding is possible even when the wire 3 is wound along a spacer having wave shape similar to the L wire instead of the L wire.
