SUBSTITUTED THIOUREA AND CARBODIIMIDE COMPOUND, MANUFACTURE, USE AS VERMICIDE AND INTERMEDIATE FOR MANUFACTURING SAME COMPOUNDS

The invention relates to novel substituted phenylthioureas, phenylisothioureas and phenylcarbodiimides of formula I (I) wherein Z is or -N=C=N-; R1 is C1-C12alkyl, C3-C10alkenyl, C3-C10alkynyl, C3-C8cycloalkyl, C1-C3alkyl substituted by 1 or 2 C3-C6cycloalkyl radicals, or is alkoxyalkyl containing a total of 3 to 10 carbon atoms, halogen-substituted C1-C12alkyl, polycyclic C7-C10cycloalkyl, or phenyl(C1-C5)alkyl which may be substituted in the phenyl moiety by 1 or 2 identical or different members selected from the group consisting of halogen, methoxy, ethoxy and C1-C5alkyl, R2 is hydrogen or C1-C5alkyl, R3 is C1-C5alkyl or C3-C6cycloalkyl, R4 is hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, R5 is a 5-membered heterocyclic radical containing 1 to 4 hetero atoms selected from the group consisting of N, O and S, which radical may be substituted at the carbon or nitrogen atoms by 1 to 3 of the substituents R6, R7 and R8, or is a 5-membered heterocyclic radical which may be fused with benzene nuclei and which contains 1 or 2 hetero atoms selected from the group consisting of N, O and S and can be substituted at the carbon or nitrogen atoms by 1 to 3 of the substituents R6, R7 and R8, R6 and R7 are each independently of the other hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4alkyl, halogen-substituted C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy; halogen-substituted C1-C4alkoxy, phenyl, or C1-C4alkylthio, R8 is hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, and R9 is C1-C5alkyl, C2-C5alkenyl, C3-C4alkynyl, alkoxyalkyl containing a total of 10 carbon atoms, or alkylthioalkyl containing a total of 10 carbon atoms and to the salts thereof with acids and bases. The invention further relates to the preparation of these compounds and to the use thereof in pest control, and to novel intermediates.
