DEPRODON PROPIONATE-CONTAINING APPLICATION AGENT FOR EXTERNAL USE

PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent application agent for external use, by blending deprodon propionate in a tacky gel base consisting essentially of a water-soluble high polymer, water and a water holding agent with hardly any side effect, e.g. dermatitis, etc. CONSTITUTION:An application agent obtained by blending deprodon propionate which is a main drug ingredient with a tacky adhesive base consisting essentially of a water-soluble high polymer, e.g. gelatin, polyacrylic acid, etc., water and a water holding agent, e.g. polyethylene glycol, glycerol, etc., extending and applying the resultant base to a flexible support, e.g. woven fabric, etc. The amounts of the ingredients blended in this adhesive gel base are as follows. 0.1-30wt./wt.% water soluble high polymer, 5-60wt./wt.% water holding agent, 10-70wt./wt.% water and 0.001-1wt./wt.% deprodone propionate. An oil ingredi ent, surfactant, stabilizer, antioxidant, pH adjustor, etc., as necessary, may at blended.
