description | PURPOSE:To stabilize a lining construction by interposing fire resistant and contractable mortar of a carbon bond between adjacent blocks of refractory bricks thereby effectively absorbing the circumferential expansion and to maintaining the joint function for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:The refractory brick layers (a), (b), (c) consisting of the refractory brick 3, 4, 5 are disposed via stamp layers to the furnace inside of a shell 1 in the shaft part of a blast furnace. The lining layers are divided to several blocks and the expandable absorption mortar 6 is interposed between the blocks B1 and B2. The mortar 6 is fire resistant oxide of the carbon bond such as Al2O3-C and SiO2-C having excellent heat resistance and alkali resistance and good contractability or fire resistant non-oxide of the carbon bond such as SiC-C. The mortar 6 which has 2-30kg/cm pressurizing stress and 10-70% contractability and has 1.0-10mm thickness to maintain the adhesive bending strength to the refractory bricks after the contraction at >=5kg/cm is more preferable. |
