Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin, expressed by a specific structural formula, crosslinkable and curable by adding a polyfunctional acid halide without shrinking volume and useful as curable materials, such as molding, casting materials or adhesives. CONSTITUTION:The aimed resin, expressed by formula I (R is an organic group consisting of 2-5C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon; R' is an organic group consisting of 2-10C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon) and having 1,000-500,000 number-average mol.wt. Furthermore, this resin can be produced by subjecting a hydroxyspiroorthocarbonate compound expressed by formula II and a diisocyanate expressed by the formula OCN-R'-NCO (R' is an organic group consisting of 2-10C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon) to addition polymerization in the presence of a catalyst at room temperature - 120 deg.C.
