Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To measure urea in a humor without any influence of intrinsic ammonia, by utilizing a difference between a coenzyme used for an intrinsic ammonia elimination system and a coenzyme used for measuring ammonia produced from urea in a specimen as a result of urease reaction. CONSTITUTION:Ammonia produced from urea in a humor by urease reaction is measured by a change in absorbance of reduced form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. In the process, intrinsic ammonia present in the humor is preeliminated with a reagent consisting of an oxidoreductase (deaminating) capable of specifically acting on reduced form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and the reduced from nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. The reduced form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide left in the humor is converted into the oxidized form with a reagent consisting of the oxidoreductase capable of specifically acting on the reduced form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and electron acceptor.
