Further, the low frequency induction heating apparatus 8 is set in the lower part 2b of furnace body and the molten metal 5, which exists at the lower part 2b of furnace, body, is heated by the induction current and at the same time, stirred. By this method, the lowering of molten 5 temp. is prevented, and heat transfer from molten slag 6 to the molten metal 5 is promoted, and the smelting reduction is executed with good productivity. |
