CONSTITUTION:The molten metal is supplied into the molten metal supplying sleeve 6 from a molten metal supplying passage 9 through the pouring basin 3 and filled up into a cavity 4 through a runner 5 by ascending the plunger 7 and after pressurizing the molten metal by further ascending the plunger 7, the molten metal is perfectly solidified. Then, a cooling function of the cooling mechanism C of the molten metal supplying sleeve 6 is constituted so as to gradually decrease from upper part to lower part of the molten metal supplying sleeve 6. The interval (d) between the outer circumferential face of the pressurizing tip 7a at upper end of the plunger 7 and the inner circumferential face of the molten metal supplying sleeve 6 is set to wider than the sum of the thicknesses of solidified film f1-f3 formed on the outer circumferential face of the pressurized tip 7a and the inner circumferential face of the molten metal supplying sleeve 6. By this method, the pressure of the molten metal is raised for a short time and the casting efficiency is improved and quality of the casting is made to good.
