description PURPOSE:To facilitate the key input operations by varying the reprocessing start time point of the same key input in accordance with a period of time during which an input operation is started and finished. CONSTITUTION:A key input device consists of a keyboard 1, a key operation deciding part 2, a timer part 3, a key input processing part 4, a comparison part 5, a new repeat tie arithmetic part 6, and an AND circuit 7. The part 2 always monitors the start and the release of the key pushing operations of the keyboard 1. When the start of the key operation is decided, the part 3 starts its clocking action. At the same time, the key input processing is carried out with start of the key operation. Then, the clocking time Tm of the part 3 is supplied to both parts 5 and 6 respectively for mutual comparison. Thus the reprocessing start time points for key input operations can be automatically varied in response to plural operators having different keying speeds.
