Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enable periodical implementation of an activated charcoal performance test while eliminating complicated procedures due to the setting of a controlled area under construction of a nuclear power plant and the use of a radioactive gas, by employing a non-radioactive gas as tracer gas. CONSTITUTION:For example, a specified amount of Kr gas is injected into the upstream side of an activated charcoal type rare gas hold up device 1 as tracer gas from a non-radioactive Kr gas tank 16. The Kr gas is introduced down under a hold up effect of the activated charcoal type rare gas hold up column 2. Then, a column 2 to be measured is selected, a shut-off valve 28 of a sampling pipe 27 on the outgoing side of the column and shut-off valves 33 of gas concentration measuring pipes 30 are opened sequentially for a specified time and Kr gas is sampled from a gas sampler 35 with a suction pump 37 to gas concentration measuring devices 34 to measure to concentration thereof. This enables evaluation of rare gas adsorption capacity for activated charcoal from secular changes in the concentration of the Kr gas, thereby enabling periodical implementation of a test with the release of no radioactivity. |
