PHOTOSENSITIVE DRUM FITTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To replace a photosensitive drum speedily without damaging or breaking the photosensitive drum by mounting and demounting the photosensitive drum by mounting and demounting a front bearing member and a rear bearing member. CONSTITUTION:When the photosensitive drum is demounted, the front bearing member 15 and rear bearing member 16 are rotated by about 90 deg. as shown by an arrow B to disengage lock parts 19 from stopper members 17 and the front bearing member 15 and rear bearing member 16 are extracted axially from the photosensitive drum 13, which is mounted on a drum receiving part 18. Then the photosensitive drum 13 is taken out by holding its flange parts 14. When the drum is mounted, said operation is performed in the opposite order. Therefore, when the photosensitive drum is mounted and demounted, a long drum shaft need not be extracted and inserted and the locking grooves of the bearing members are only aligned with the stopper members to fix the drum. Consequently, the photosensitive drum is replaced speedily without being damaged nor broken.
