SHEET LOADING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To correctly detect the sheet remainder with a simple structure by comparing the output level when a sheet loading unit is moved with a reference to detect the position of the sheet loading unit in a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet loading mount turns an upper limit microswitch 15 on, a microcomputer 21 turns all LEDs 35a-35d on. If the output voltage V of a volume 9 moved in conjunction with the vertical movement of the sheet loading mount is not in the upper limit position and larger than 3/4 of the reference value voltage VREF, LEDs 35a-35d are turned on, if is 1/2-3/4, LEDs 35a-35c are turned on, if it is 1/4-1/2, LEDs 35a, 35b are turned on. If it is at a position between the lower limit and 1/2, only the LED 35a is turned on, if it is at the lower limit position and a lower limit microswitch 16 is turned on, all LEDs are turned off. Accordingly, the correct position of the sheet loading unit can be detected with a simple structure, and the sheet remainder can be correctly grasped.
