description PURPOSE:To reduce the reflection of a current which is induced by a meander line and flows in the end part of the meander line by providing a terminal resistor in the end part of the meander line. CONSTITUTION:The terminal resistor 8 is provided in the end part of the meander line 2 in order to actuate in the same way the meander line 2 has an infinite length. Namely, owing to the terminal resistor 8 the reflection of the current, which is induced in the end part of the meander line 2, in the end part of the meander line 2 is removed so that the meander line 2 actuates in the same way it has the equivalently infinite length. As a result, the amplitude between an electric field Ep3 parallel with the direction of the meander line 2 and the electric field Eq4 perpendicular to the direction of the meander line 2 is kept equal and the phase difference occuring between the electric field Ep3 and the electric field Eq4 becomes equal in the center part and in the periphery part of a meander line type polarization converter.
