SELECTION SYSTEM FOR REGISTERED FILE

PURPOSE:To facilitate selection of registered files despite increase of the number of registered files by displaying only the names of registered files in a list, and selecting a desired registered name to take the corresponding file out of a memory. CONSTITUTION:Each file registered with its register name is divided into plural types (sorts) and the codes of normal texts, illustrations, external characters, etc., are designated to those divided files in accordance with their characteristics. Thus said discriminated files are registered into a memory 4 separately from each other. In a selection mode of registered files, a desired sorting indication is applied among plural sorts by means of sorting keys 1A-1C serving as an input means 1. Thus only the registered names of the files belonging to the indicated sorts are retrieved and displayed in a list on a display device 3. In such a way, the list of register names to be displayed can be limited. Then a user detects the desired registered names out of the limited list of registered names for selection and indication and takes the corresponding file out of the memory 4.
