Zusammenfassung:An elastic insulating tube 4 for a multi-core electric cable 1, which is to be sealingly taken through openings in housings 2 or walls (8, Figure 2), is proposed which provides the cable, not necessarily having a circular cross-section, with a rigid external contour in the section located in the passage opening of the wall or of the housing. In an embodiment, the rigid contour is provided by a tube 5 which is wider than the elastic part 3 and lies within tube 4. In another embodiment (Figure 2) an insulating tube (6') is provided internally with a tube (5) where the insulating tube (6') passes through a grommet (3') located in a hole in a bulkhead (8).
