CONSTITUTION:A welder frame equipped with a laser generator is provided with a couple of horizontal arm levers 4 and 5, and at free end parts 4a and 5a, an upper metallic retainer 14 having a cylinder device 11 and an elevation body 12, and a lower metallic retainer 6 are installed respectively. Superposed materials 7 to be connected are placed on the metallic retainer 6 and the upper metallic retainer 14 is mounted to press the materials 7 to be joined by a cylinder device 11. While inert gas 15 is introduced into the metallic retainer 14, laser light reflected by a reflecting mirror 10 is condensed through a condenser lens 13 to perform welding at a weld zone 7a. The inert gas 15 prevents the oxidation of the weld zone 7a to prevent metallic mist from sticking the lens 13, and the materials 7 to be connected are cooled with cooling water in the retainer 6, thus achieving superior spot welding.
