CONSTITUTION:In the first side copying, the contents of counter 62 for indicating a number of copying times and those of register 60 for indicating a set number of them are compared with comparator 65, and when they accord, a reset signal is produced from comparator 65 to reset the copying action of a copier, and thus copying is finished. In the next second side copying, the function of comparator 65 is inactivated, and even if the contents of register 60 and those of counter 62 accord, the reset signal is not produced, and copying action is continued. When the first side copying papers on tray 50 are absent, a reset signal produced from sheet material detector 66 of photodetector 58 resets the copying action of the copier to complete a series of both-side copying operations.
