DIPPING DEVICE FOR BILLET

PURPOSE:To perform the coating of the whole surface of a billet uniformly by descending by receiving by a placing means plural billets aligned and adhered in a columnar direction after preheating dipping in a dipping liquid and separating each other. CONSTITUTION:Plural billets are fed from a parts feeder 1 in the state of being aligned in a columnar direction and the cutting faces being adhered each other. The above billet 2 is carried into a preheater 8 by a chain conveyor 3, etc. and preheated to about 150-200 deg.C. The preheated billet 2 is held by the chuck 13 equipping a lift cylinder 12 and transferred onto a dipping tank 16 by rotating an arm 11. The billet 2 is dropped on the placing base 18a of a dipping device 18 each three pieces for instance. This billet 2 is sensed by a sensor 19, a lift cylinder 17 is worked and the billet 2 placed on the placing base 18a is dipped in the dipping liquid for the prescribed time. The above placing base 18 is separated on each billet in the above liquid and the billet 2 is subjected to a coating. The billet 2 is thereafter held by a chuck 15 and transferred onto a chain conveyor 20.
