SUPPORT MECHANISM OF HEAD CARRIAGE

PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation of an azimuth angle of a magnetic head by providing the fixed 1st guide member and the 2nd guide member moved together with the head carriage and using an energizing member so as to press the guide members via a turnably movable rotary body. CONSTITUTION:When a lead...

description PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation of an azimuth angle of a magnetic head by providing the fixed 1st guide member and the 2nd guide member moved together with the head carriage and using an energizing member so as to press the guide members via a turnably movable rotary body. CONSTITUTION:When a lead screw 6 is driven by a stepping motor 7, a guide pin 11 is moved forward/backward by the driven screw 6, and the head carriage 8 held incorporately with the pin 11 is guide by the 1st guide member 4 and moved straight forward. The 2nd guide member 15 and a mobile shaft 16 are relatively moved to the fixed 1st guide member 4 together with the head carriage 8 and the rotary body 14 is turnably moved attended with the relative movement. The movable distance of the rotary body 14 is x/2, where (x) is the movable distance of the head carriage 8. The mobile shaft 16 is pressed onto the 1st guide member 4 via the rotary body 14 by an energizing member 17 and the deviation of the azimuth angle of magnetic heads 24, 25 is not caused.
