HEATLESS AIR DRYER WITH DEHUMIDIFIER

PURPOSE:To promote the efficiency of an air dryer and prevent the trouble thereof, by connecting a heat pipe with heat absorbing side being exposed to compressed air, to the side of an air inlet of a drying agent type heatless air dryer to cool and dehumidify the compressed air. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air from a compressor is cooled at an after-cooler 30 and then passed to an air passage of a main body 11, where the heat absorbing side of a heat pipe 13 absorbs heat from said air to cool it. At that occasion, part of water in the air is condensed and drops down to the bottom of the main body 11 to be discharged from a drain port, whereby quantity of water introduced into the air inlet decreases. Next, the air is passed through one drying agent cylinder 2a via an air passage 3 to be dried by means of drying agent and discharged from an outlet 9. When the capacity of the drying agent cylinder 2a falls under predetermined value, a change-over valve 5 is changed over to pass the air through the other drying agent cylinder 2b for drying said air, while part of the air is passed through the drying agent cylinder 2a to regenerate the drying agent therein.
