Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To simplify a working program by calculating automatically an intermediate point to obtain a route where a controlled system gives no interference to a working object based on the internal data and resetting a reference point to its resetting point via the obtained intermediate point. CONSTITUTION:A numerical controller 7 stores previously the size of an original form 1a of a working object 1 or obtains it from the working data and therefore controls the position of a controlled system 2 in the directions of X and Z axes in accordance with a working program. Then a bite is moved along a working route shown by a dotted line 6 and a reference point resetting command is delivered at the termination of the working program. With this instruction the controller 7 obtains the present position of the controlled system 2 from the data on the working end point of the working program. When the position of the controlled system 2 is kept within the area of the working object 1, an intermediate point is set outside the area of the working object 1. Then the controlled system 2 is shifted to the intermediate point and then to resetting point 3 of the reference point. This prevents the interference of the controlled system 2 against the working object 1 and simplifies the working program.
