CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To produce a high quality casting billet for continuous casting by heating and stirring a molten steel in a tundish received the molten steel from a ladle and after that pouring the molten steel into a mold. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel (A) in the ladle 1 is poured into the tundish 2. The tundish 2 is shifted from the mold 3 and the molten steel (A) therein is heated by an electrical method such as arc, etc., and is stirred by a stirrer, etc., under heating. After that, the tundish is returned back to above the mold 3 and the molten steel (A) therein is poured into the mold 3, in which it is formed as a continuous casting billet, and is produced as billets, etc., through cooling water spraying part 4, pinch roll 5 and gas cutting part 5. By this constitution, the high quality billet having no inclusion is obtained, because of separation and floatation of the slag and oxide in the molten steel. Further, the billet is improved for center segregation, because of possibility of low temp. casting.
