DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve operability by detecting a conversion key and a cursor position, storing an input character from a keyboard, and selecting and displaying a character in conversion relation at the specific cursor position. CONSTITUTION:An interruption signal generated when a key on the keyboard is pressed is sent to a changeover key detecting circuit 43 to detect the conversion key, specific data in a buffer memory 44 stored with display screen data is obtained at the cursor position, and a switching code and cursor position data are read by a processor 45 connected to a ROM41 and a RAM42. Then, the processor 45 converts the cursor position data into data corresponding to the switching code and a character display circuit 46 displays the data at the specific cursor position. Consequently, the reinput of data is reduced.
