METHOD OF INSTALLING OFF-SHORE PLATFORM MADE OF CONCRETE

PURPOSE:To uniformize a bearing power of ground and to stabilize installation, by a method wherein a platform is temporarily installed through adjustment of buoyancy, a freezing pipe is inserted into an installation ground, and after brine for freezing is fed to freeze a ground, installation work is performed. CONSTITUTION:A platform A is tugged to an installation site, and water is poured in an internal empty chamber to temporarily install the platform on a soft ground B through the regulation of ballast. A vertical shaft 3 is excavated in the ground B below a compartment 2, a gate valve 5 of a buried piece 4 is opened, and a freezing pipe 6 is driven from an upper end into a ground B. A number of freezing pipes 8, extended horizontally in the soft ground B below the platform A, are uniformly laid from the vertical shaft 3 in a necessary depth and throughout a required plane area, and brine for freezing is circulated for freezing. This enables the titled method to be applicable to all soft grounds, and provides a ground which is excellent in dynamical strength on account of frozen soil.
