Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of the voids in the superposed mating faces of a copper plated steel sheet for a multi-wound pipe and to improve eventually the safety in the construction of the above-mentioned pipe by forming a copper plating layer on the surface of the steel sheet by using a copper plating plating bath from which a remaining org. material consisting essentially of C and S is removed. CONSTITUTION:The copper plating layer is formed on the surface of the steel sheet by using the cooper plating bath from which the remaining org. material is removed by adsorption, etc. using, for example, activated carbon so as not to accumulate and increase the remaining org. material consisting essentially of C and S in the copper plating bath. If the above-mentioned pipe is manufactured by using the copper obtd. by such method, the generation of the voids occurring in the C and S in the stage of brazing is obviated and the failure in welding as a result of cavitation is suppressed.
