APPARATUS FOR MAKING STENCIL PRINTING PLATE

PURPOSE:To attain to miniaturize an apparatus by dispensing with an exclusive preheater, by providing a preheating part to a thermal head itself. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 4 is equipped with a glazed ceramic substrte 12 and a plurality of a heat generation resistors comprising Ta2N are provided to the upper surface of the substrate so as to provide an interval therebetween. A heat generation part 16 is formed to the part between both lead wires 14, 15 of the heat generation resistors 13 and an oxidation resistant layer 17 comprising SiO2 is provided to the upper surfaces of the heat generation part 16 and the lead wires 14, 15 and one elongated preheating resistor 18 comprising Ta2N extending to the arrangement direction of the heat generation part 16 is embedded in the predetermined place of the oxidation resistant layer 17 in the front stage side of the heat generation part 16. A certain degree of voltage is applied to the preheating resistor 18 from the time immediately before the start of the punching of a character or pattern to the time immediately before the finish thereof. Therefore, the preheating resistor 18 generates heat to preheat the resin film 8 of a stencil 1 to certain temp. from ambient temp. to the m.p. thereof.
