description PURPOSE:To evaluate the detergency for the sweat stains, oil stains, etc. which cannot be evaluated by a light reflection method by using the stains simulating the sweat of MCl (M=Li, Na, K). CONSTITUTION:The essential component of the sweat produced from the human body is salt (NaCl). Cloth is thereupon immersed into an aq. MCl soln. to penetrate the MCl in the cloth. The cloth is then dried and half the cloth is subjected straightly to the extraction of the MCl therein by pure water without being washed. M is then quantitatively determined by an atomic absorption method, etc. On the other hand, the remaining cloth is washed and dried and the MCl in the cloth after the washing is extracted. The M is then quantitatively determined. The evaluation of the detergency is made possible from the prescribed equation.
