Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To maintain washing power, free from influence of microorganism and to keep fine finish at phosphating in the following stage by using a disinfectant-containing washing bath in degreasing and washing the metallic surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a metal for phosphating is subjected to degreasing and washing by use of the degreasing and washing bath into which the disinfectant is incorporated by >=10ppm. It is preferable that the treatment is carried out by a dipping method of a temp. approximately from room temp. to 50 deg.C and the bath is adjusted to about pH8-12. Further the washing bath contains builders, surfactants and disinfectants as essential components, with which, if necessary, metallic chelate agents, antifoamer, etchants, etc., can be blended. All the known disinfectants can be used as the disinfectant.
