ARTICLE TRANSFER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make is possible to safely and rapidly carry out the working of transfer of articles, by providing a carrier bed which is reciprocatable between a first section and a second section, and by providing a rod elevatably on the carrier bed with the rod being provided with an article absorbing device. CONSTITUTION:An article C is absorbed in a first section, and a rod 21 is elevated to raise an article absorbing device 29 upto a predetermined height. The article absorbing device 29 is rotated in the horizontal direction by an angle of 180 deg. and a carrier bed 11 is moved in the outgoing direction toward a second section B. Thereafter, the article absorbing device 29 is rotated about the horizontal center axis P by an angle of 90 deg. in order to change the attitude of the article C in the vertical direction. Further, in the second section B, the rod 21 is lowered to position the article absorbing device 29 at a predetermined height at which the article C is removed from the article absorbing device 29. Then, the elevation of the article absorbing device 26 to a predetermined height, the returning rotation of the article absorbing device 29 about the horizontal center axis P, the returning movement of the carrier bed 11 to the second section A, the returning rotation of the article absorbing device 29 and the returning descent of the article absorbing device 29 in the first section A are successively carried out.
