OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDER

PURPOSE:To obtain tracking information even by a DRAW or an E-DRAW disc where no pre-group is formed in advance by applying tracking control based on a light via a disc recording face by a spot light for detecting tracking information. CONSTITUTION:Only the reflected light by the tracking information detection spot light E reflected on the recorded track is made incident in a photodetector 11 by arranging an analyzer 9 perpendicularly to an analyzer 8 with respect to an optical axis. The photodetector 11 is formed as a 2-split or a 4-split photodetector so as to obtain a tracking signal in response to the deviation of the tracking information detection spot light E from the center of the recorded track. Then the spot light E is controlled to have a deviation zeroed to the recorded track based on the said tracking signal so as to make a track pitch (p) of the recorded track by the information recording spot light O constant.
