Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:The titled ointment, obtained by dissolving indomethacin in a specific compound, e.g. a polyoxyalkylene glycol, and stable even after storage for a long period without depositing the indomethacin nor changing the shape. CONSTITUTION:An anti-inflammatory and analgesic ointment prepared by dissolving indomethacin in a compound expressed by the formula (R is H or alkyl; m and n are 0-300), e.g. polyoxyethylene glycol polyoxypylene glycol or polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene butyl ether. An oil-soluble substance can be added thereto, and an absorption accelerator, e.g. medium-chain fatty acid triglyceride, can be used in formulation.
