PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by dissolving the compound of formula II (X is halogen) in a mixture of water, methanol, etc., reacting with sodium thiosulfate at 50-80 deg.C, reacting the reaction product with iodine to obtain the compound of formula III, reacting the compound with hydrazine to eliminate the phthalimide group and if necessary, converting the product to a salt.
