description PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of a dynamic range due to the distortion of a disk and to improve the performance and the reliability of an optical recording/reproducing device, by shifting the tilting fulcrum of a pickup toward the inner circumferential side of the disk against an optical axis in the radius direction of the disk. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 1 is supported by a pickup 1 via a suspension 8, and the pickup 1 is put on a slider mechanism 6 so as to move toward an arrow head S of a disk. Furthermore the pickup 1 is supported so that it can turn freely round a fulcrum 5 set at the inner circumferential side of the disk with a distance M secured from an optical axis 4. The tilt of the pickup 1 is controlled by a distortion degree detecting means so that the axis 4 is set vertical to the disk surface. Then the reduction of a dynamic range l of the lens 2 can be reduced despite the distortions of the disk since the rotary fulcrum 5 of the pickup 1 is deviated toward the inside from the center of the disk. Thus the performance and the reliability are improved with an optical recording/ reproducing device.
