ULTRASONIC FILTER AND FILTRATION METHOD

PURPOSE:To remove solid foreign matter from a slurry contg. the solid foreign matter and cohesive fine particles by rotating a filter medium layer, and dipping only the lowest possible end part of an ultrasonic oscillator into the aq. slurry. CONSTITUTION:A filtration chamber 7 is formed with filter medium side plates 9 and 11 whose both end surfaces are composed of a material having liq. tightness with a cylindrical filter medium layer 6, and the filter medium layer 6 is borne freely rotatively by a revolving discharge pipe 8 of a filtered material through the filter medium side plates 9 and 11. A retaining chamber 17 used for inserting an ultrasonic oscillator chip 4 into the filter is provided at the upper part of the main body 19 of the filter. Consequently, the damage of the filter medium layer 6 due to the reception of the irradiated ultrasonic is controlled by the revolution of the filter medium layer 6 and filtration can be stably carried out for a long period.
