IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make replacement or the like of originals unnecessary in case of a jam of recording mediums or the like by executing an image forming process for the first and the second originals continuously twice to form images on both faces of one recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Jam of copy forms occurs on the way of the copying cycle for the first original P1 as well as on the way of the copying cycle for the second original P2. In either case, a control discriminating part 250 controls and drives an exposure driving system 8A to return an exposure system to the first exposure start point S1 of the home position. If jam is generated when the counted value of the first detecting part 53 is odd, the control discriminating part 250 issues a change command which counts down the counted value of the first de- tecting part by one to set it to an even. Thus, when a start button 215 is depressed after processing of jam, the copying process or the like is executed from the initial state to copy pictures on both faces surely.
