Said elementary battery is rotated centering around the carbon bar electrode 3 for supplying the sealing agent applying part 4, with the sealing agent to be applied, for instance, wax while continuously sending out a prescribed amount of wax 42 from a nozzle 41 in order to apply wax 42 to the periphery of the tip part of the carbon bar electrode 3 by means of the sealing agent applying part 4. Thereafter, the carbon bar electrode 3 is driven in up to the prescribed position followed by sealing the opening of the zinc can 1 with a sealing plate for finishing a dry cell. Thereby, the wax 42 is pressed to the inside of the sealing plate while showing a liquid leakage preventive effect. |
