description | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled product with no wrinkle and limited void by a method wherein carbon fibers with the impregnated resin controlled in a specific range is wound on a die at a low angle, a heat shrinking tape is wrapped thereon and hardened by heating to improve the strength and elastic modulus. CONSTITUTION:Carbon fibers 2 from a feed bobbin 1 are introduced into a continuous vacuum impregnation tank 4 via a guide roller 3 to be vacuum impregnated with a resin 9 and then, wound on a die 7 axially at a low angle of 30 deg. or less via a pinch roller 8 and a transverser 6 to exceed 50% in terms of the content. Here, the wounding is done by varying the hole diameter of a glass tubule 5' at the outlet of the impregnation tank 4 and further by combining the pinch roller 8, a dice 8' and the like to remove excessive resin until the amount of the resin is controlled to 20-35wt%. Then, a heat shrinking tape is wrapped on the surface of the carbon fibers and hardened by heating to obtain the desired product. |
