CONSTITUTION:Messages which should be transmitted from a character terminal equipment CT to a FAX terminal equipment FT are divided into four and are stored successively in a memory module MM by the control of a central controller CC. The central controller CC gives a media conversion indication to a media conversion module MC. The module MC performs conversion on a basis of this indication and returns the messages to the controller CC, and the controller CC stores them in the module MM and checks whether the FAX data group stored in the module MM reaches a preliminarily determined quantity (transmission start storage quantity) or not; and if it reaches this quantity, transmission is started. Further, the controller CC chekcs whether the data group reaches a preliminarily determined quantity (media conversion holding storage quantity) or not; and if it reaches this quantity, the controller CC holds conversion of the next character data group and waits until a transmission completion signal is returned from a line control module LC2.
